Porter Airlines is an American Airlines partner airline serving destinations across Canada.
Eligible AAdvantage® members can earn and redeem miles on Porter Airlines flights and receive travel benefits based on your AAdvantage® status. Explore ways to earn and use miles, learn about status benefits and find helpful travel information before your trip.

AAdvantage® program benefits
You can earn AAdvantage® miles and Loyalty Points when flying on American Airlines marketed flights operated by Porter Airlines. Here’s how:
- Buy an eligible Porter Airlines fare ticket in an eligible booking code
- Fly an eligible route
The number of miles you earn depends on the flight distance and the fare class of your ticket.
When you earn eligible AAdvantage® miles for travel on Porter Airlines, you’ll also earn Loyalty Points that count toward qualifying for AAdvantage® status.

Exception
You can't earn AAdvantage® miles or earn Loyalty Points on Porter Airlines flights that are not marketed by American (flight numbers beginning with 'PD').
AAdvantage® miles cannot be used to book flights on Porter Airlines at this time.
You can use AAdvantage® miles to book flights on oneworld® and other partner airlines.
AAdvantage® status members do not receive added travel benefits when flying on Porter Airlines.
If you're flying on an American marketed flight operated by Porter Airlines, you can choose your seat on Porter Airline's website.

When you fly on an American marketed Porter flight, plus travel in First or Business on your American connecting flight to / from Canada, you'll get:

Connections in Toronto
From American to Porter
Your bag tags should show your final destination in Canada. However, once you arrive in Toronto:
- You must retrieve your bags after clearing Immigration and then clearing Customs.
- Take your bags to the designated Porter bag drop area at the Terminal 3 (T3) arrival counter.
- If you don’t have your boarding pass for your Porter flight, go to the check-in line for your boarding pass before dropping off your bags.
From Porter to American
If your trip starts in Canada, your bag will be transferred through to your final destination.
