Eligible AAdvantage® members can earn and redeem miles on GOL Airlines flights and receive travel benefits based on your AAdvantage® status. Explore ways to earn and use miles, learn about status benefits and find helpful travel information before your trip.

AAdvantage® program benefits
You can earn AAdvantage® miles and Loyalty Points when flying on GOL Airlines. Here’s how:
- Buy an eligible GOL Airlines fare ticket in an eligible booking code
- Fly an eligible route
The number of miles you earn depends on the flight distance and the fare class of your ticket.
When you earn eligible AAdvantage® miles for travel on GOL Airlines, you’ll also earn Loyalty Points that count toward qualifying for AAdvantage® status.

If the booking code for the ticket you buy isn’t listed in the tables, you won’t earn AAdvantage® miles or Loyalty Points.
If you book a flight marketed by American (AA flight number) and operated by GOL Airlines, you earn AAdvantage® miles and Loyalty Points based on American’s earning chart.
Learn about earning with American
Some fares may earn AAdvantage® miles and Loyalty Points based on a percentage of the distance flown instead of ticket price. This applies to special fares and situations where ticket or fare details aren’t available when your flight is posted.
You can use AAdvantage® miles to book flights on GOL airlines, including itineraries with oneworld® and partner airlines.
If you have AAdvantage® status, you may receive benefits when flying on GOL Airlines, including:

***Includes 1 companion for AAdvantage Platinum®, AAdvantage Gold® and up to 8 companions for AAdvantage Executive Platinum® and AAdvantage Platinum Pro®. For flights marketed by American and operated by GOL, customers will need to contact GOL Reservations for seat selection or choose seats at the airport (kiosk or agent).
^AAdvantage Gold® members can choose GOL+ Conforto Seats at time of check-in (at time of booking for all other status members) by contacting GOL Reservations.

Connections in South America
From American to GOL
Your bag tags should show your final destination in Brazil. However, once you arrive:
- You must retrieve your bags after clearing Immigration and then clearing Customs.
- Take your bags to the GOL check-in counter outside Customs or in the departure terminal for your next flight.
From GOL to American
- Your bag will transfer to your final destination as normal.
- If you need help connecting to your American flight in Sao Paulo, visit the American Airlines transit desk at the end of Terminal 2.
